BABY STEPS 🦶🏽

I’ve always been a dive in head first & “all in” kind of gal, immersion is my ideal environment for learning and adaptation. I have however come to realise that this is overwhelming for most, and that a slow and gradual approach is preferred in both an experiential and receptive context.

My intention is to share tools & resources that is digestible, nurturing, and as “here and now” appropriate as possible. I keep referencing a sensitive adjective to attach to this moment in history, but I’m inviting you to label what this is for you today. Whatever this may be, I feel we can all agree that what is most important now, is that we all need to be more mindful of how our words & actions offer support & facilitate connection.

These past few months I’ve decided to share only what was necessary, and held back what I needed for my own practice. In time and with hopeful return to collective ease, I truly look forward to sharing more freely with you all. However what feels most important now, is to provide less triggering and more nurturing invitations to practice. A conscious decision to return to the foundations of my teaching, the most precious return to my innately grounded and deep rooted self.

Sometimes our personal practice doesn’t run parallels with what the moment calls for us to share, and I’m in deep acceptance of this now. Let’s take this nice and slow baby, I got you 🤍.

One aspect of yoga that I like to emphasize in my clinstagrames is the importance of transitions. We have the tendency of believing that the “pose” in its perfect alignment is the ultimate goal of the practice. I believe that reaching excellence in the practice should include smoothing out the transitions between poses as well. ⁠⠀

Make your practice like a dance! ⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Stay constantly aware, into the poses, and into the transitions. Mindful of every movement. A good way of practicing this idea is to move always at the same pace, in total control, like gravity didn’t exist and you were moving through some thick jelly 🥮⁠⠀

Lo Yin Yoga è uno stile di yoga pinstagramivo, che fa mantenere le posizioni, sedute o sdraiate, per 3-5 minuti. Questa modalità allunga i tessuti connettivi del corpo, come i tendini, i legamenti e la fascia (il più grande organo del corpo, che trasmette informazioni e archivia emozioni e traumi psicologici). 
Nello yin yoga è fondamentale rilinstagramarsi nella posizione, sprofondare nella postura e dare spazio alla respirazione per sciogliere le tensioni. Allora arriva anche lo stato meditativo, in cui la mente si placa e smette di tormentarci con le sue ipotesi catastrofiche e le sue dittatoriali richieste.

📌La clinstagrame di Yin Yoga si tiene tutti i Mercoledì dalle 18.00 alle 19.00, online.
